First time seriously trying to digitally color. This took way too long, I spend like 15-20 hours coloring this thing. Trying to figure out how photoshop worked. And I still don't get it XD But I did a pretty decent job for my first time ^^ Lots of improvement needed though!
Can someone tell me how to shade better? And how to shade without using the gaussian blur? (no control and it takes a while to get it look pretty decent)
Advice would be nice! If someone has some advice on how to improve, I would be thankful. Hope ya like it ^^
Btw: My art teacher asked me if he could use this drawing for the frontpage of the schoolpaper. Yay! =3
never use gaussion blur for shading! you have a regular blur tool in your toolbar thingie.
you can avoid using blur altogether, if you lower the flow and opacity of your brush and use a soft edged brush. I hope that'll help.
LOL, good job with getting the front page
I had my work on the front page too one time.
aah I havent seen youre art for so long, I actually thought you where someone else, But it looks very good for the first time!, I am a n00b at photo shop so no tips from me
Cool XD Yours was probably a lot prettier than mine though xD
Okay.. no gaussion blur.. but low opacity.. I'll try.. o.o But working with low opacity is hard.. <_<;; It usually ends up ugly xD

This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
